The SKY85746-11 from Skyworks is an Ultra-Linear WLAN Front-End Module with an integrated log detector that operates at 5 GHz. This module integrates a 5 GHz SPDT transmit/receive switch, a 5 GHz low-noise amplifier with bypass, and a 5 GHz power amplifier intended for mobile/portable 802.11ax 1024 QAM applications and systems. It delivers a transmit gain of 32 dB and a receive gain of 13 dB.
The module has an LNA and PA disable a function that ensures low leakage current in the off mode. An integrated logarithmic power detector is also included to provide closed-loop power control within the system. This module is available in a quad flat no-lead 16-pin small QFN package that measures 2.5 x 2.5 mm. It is ideal for use in 802.11ax set-top boxes, networking, personal computer systems, PC cards, PCMCIA cards, mini-cards, half mini-cards, and WLAN-enabled wireless video systems.
