The SKY85787-11 from Skyworks Solutions is a Wi-Fi 6 Front-End Module that has been developed for the 5 GHz band. It consists of an integrated 5 GHz single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) transmit/receive (T/R) switch, a 5 GHz high-gain, low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass mode, a non-linear power amplifier (PA), a temperature-compensated log detector and a logarithmic power detector that provides closed-loop power control within the system. The FEM has a receive gain of 15 dB with AM/AM distortion of 5 dB and AM/PM distortion of 10 degrees. It is available in a 24-pin LGA package that measures 3 x 5 mm and is ideal for Wi-Fi 6 networking systems & set-top boxes and WLAN-enabled wireless video streaming system applications.
