The L56113 from Mercury Systems is a GPS Filter/Amplifier that operates in the L1 band from 1565.4 to 1585.4 MHz and in the L2/L5 band from 1166.45 to 1237.6 MHz. It has a center frequency gain of 43 dB in the L1 and L2 bands with a noise figure of less than 2.5 dB. This dual-purpose GPS device is space qualified and contains a cavity filter and a discrete amplifier to provide excellent out-of-band attenuation of more than 60 dB. It requires a DC supply voltage of +5 V and consumes 0.15 A of current. This GPS filter/amplifier is available in a through-hole module that measures 3.00 × 2.53 in with SMA-female connectors and is ideal for use in spacecrafts and test equipment.
