The BCM4775X from Broadcom is a Multi-band GNSS Receiver with an integrated sensor hub. It supports GPS L1 C/A, GLONASS L1, BeiDou B1, QZSS L1, Galileo E1, GPS L5, Galileo E5a, and QZSS L5 constellations. The receiver is based on dual-processor architecture (ARM CM4+CM0) that ensures each task is handled in the most power-efficient manner. The measurements from sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers are fused with GNSS measurements to provide a highly accurate, and cross-calibrated output. This cross-calibration is achieved by using sensor measurements to aid GNSS for small movements and uses the GNSS to calibrate sensor measurements. The receiver has immunity to interference and jamming and can be controlled via SPI, UART, and I2C interfaces.
The BCM4775X supports position batching, geofencing, sensor fusion, and sensor navigation. It achieves lane-level accuracy outdoors and offers higher resistance to multipath and reflected signals in urban scenarios. The receiver is available in a 77-ball WLBGA package and is ideal for smartphones, tablets, mobile accessories, wearables, and digital camera applications.
