The ePV9000B from Furuno is a Dual-band GNSS Receiver that supports GPS L1CA/L5, Galileo E1/E5a, BDS B1I/B1C/B2a, GLONASS L1OF, QZSS L1CA/L1CB/L5, and SBAS L1/L5 bands. This GNSS receiver has 62 channels for GNSS reception and an update rate of up to 10 Hz providing a position accuracy of 0.5 m DRMS (63%) enabling lane-level navigation in automotive applications. It has a cold start sensitivity of -147 dBm, a hot start sensitivity of -158 dBm, and a tracking sensitivity of -160 dBm. This GNSS receiver has a time to first fix (TTFF) of 19 s (cold start), and 1 s (hot start) with 1PPS stability of 30 ns.
The ePV9000B integrates Furuno's proprietary Extended Carrier Aiding technology that eliminates the need for reference station data or correction data thus providing stable and highly accurate positioning without regional restrictions or running costs. It can receive L5 signals in combination with L1 signals to reduce the effects of multipath in urban areas. This GNSS receiver can generate high-precision location information by connecting a 6-axis inertial sensor and feeding in vehicle speed pulses. It is equipped with Anti-Jamming and Anti-Spoofing functions to detect jamming and spoofing attacks and report them to the ECU.
The ePV9000B requires a DC supply of 1.8 or 3.3 V and a backup supply of 1.8 V. It is available in an LFBGA package that measures 8.0 x 7.0 x 0.8 mm and complies with NMEA 0183 V4.11, FEC binary and RTCM Ver.3.3 protocols. This receiver is ideal for automotive OEM/Tier 1 applications like V2X and autonomous driving (Level 2 to Level 3) systems.
