The GNS1301 from GNS Electronics is a GNSS Module that supports GPS, GLONASS, and GALILEO constellations simultaneously. Its navigation performance and accuracy can be further improved by using the correction data from SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, MSAS), QZSS or DGPS (RTCM). It is based on the MediaTek MT3333 GNSS SoC that supports 99 acquisition channels and 33 tracking channels. It has superior dynamic performance at high velocity and provides effective protection against interference signals using MTAICTM (Multi-tone active interference canceller). The module has a pulse per second (PPS) accuracy of 10ns and has an update rate of 10 Hz per second. It has a tracking sensitivity of up to -165 dBm and requires 66mW@ 3.3V.
The GNS1301 can achieve first fixes in just a few seconds with the help of A-GPS using EPOTM ( Extended Prediction Orbit) and the EASYTM ‘ self-generated orbit prediction’ algorithm. It is available in an 11.5 x 13 x 2.1 mm package and is suitable for navigation, timing, and location-based applications.
