The LC29H Series from Quectel are Dual-Band, Multi-Constellation GNSS Modules that operate in the GPS/QZSS: L1 C/A, L5, GLONASS: L1, Galileo: E1, E5a, and BDS: B1, B2a bands. These GNSS modules have a sensitivity of -165 dBm during tracking and provide horizontal positioning accuracy of 1 m. They are designed to concurrently track GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS satellite signals on L1 and L5 bands as well as GLONASS satellite signals on the L1 band. The LC29H series can track relatively more visible satellites available in multiple bands compared to GNSS modules that can track only L1 signals. They significantly mitigate multipath effects occurring in urban canyons, reduce signal acquisition time, and improve positioning accuracy, thereby resulting in optimum performance.
These dual-band modules integrate LNAs that provide high sensitivity and high precision positioning, integrate SAW filters that enable noise cancellation, and use the dead reckoning function to ensure reliable positioning performance even in signal-challenged environments. They also support UART, USB, SPI, and I2C interfaces for internal communication. These RoHS-compliant modules are available in a module that measures 12.2 x 16.0 x 2.5 mm and are ideal for real-time tracking, sharing economy-related devices, and power-sensitive and battery-powered applications. They require a DC supply from 3.1-3.6 V and consume 30 mA of current during tracking mode.
