The STA8100GA from STMicroelectronics is a multi-band / multi-constellation GNSS Receiver that has been designed for automotive applications. It supports GNSS constellations such as GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou, NAVIC (former IRNSS), and QZSS, in L1, L2, L5, and E6 frequency bands. This receiver is part of the Teseo V family and has STMicroelectronics’ dead reckoning firmware TESEO-DRAW.
The STA8100GA consists of a 314 MHz ARM Cortex M7 core, 256 KB RAM, nested vector interrupt controller, 2 x multi timer units, watchdog timer, extended function timer, 32 kHz oscillator real-time clock and AES decipher hardware accelerator. A Security feature (enabled only for STA8100GAS) is implemented in a dedicated sub-system, embedding cryptographic HW accelerator with protected access. It has a power management unit with a separate power supply domain, on-chip LDO, and high voltage/low voltage monitors. The receiver requires a DC supply of 1.7-3.6 V and can be controlled via UART, SPI, I2C & multi-mode serial interfaces. It is AEC-Q100 qualified and is available in an LFBGA81 package that measures 8 x 8 x 0.85 mm.
