The Teseo-LIV3FL from STMicroelectronics is a Standalone GNSS Module that can simultaneously support multiple constellations (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS, and QZSS). The module provides excellent accuracy and robustness, reduced Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF), and has a tracking sensitivity of -163 dBm. It consists of an embedded Teseo III single die standalone positioning receiver IC, 26 MHz temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO), a 32.768 kHz real-time clock (RTC) oscillator, ARM-Core, SMPS, connectivity interfaces, a power management unit, and a memory unit (ROM, RAM, and 16 MBit embedded flash). This module requires a DC supply from 1.755 to 4.2 V, consumes 65 mW of power while tracking, and 8 μA of current in standby mode.
The Teseo-LIV3FL also supports 7 days of autonomous assisted GNSS capability to predict the satellite data using previously recorded satellite observational data. This GNSS module includes embedded firmware and a complete evaluation environment which allows the user to select active constellations available based on their application needs. It allows the user to log data from the built-in flash memory and perform configurations using the dedicated firmware.
This module is available in a surface-mount package that measures 9.7 x 10.1 x 2.3 mm and is ideal for goods tracking, drones, fleet management, vehicle sharing, diagnostics, public transportation, people and pet location, tolling, insurance, emergency calls, and anti-theft applications.
