The 50PA-841 from JFW Industries is a 4 x 16 Handover Test System that operates from 500 to 6000 MHz. It provides an attenuation from 0 to 95 dB with a step size of 1 dB and has a switching speed of less than 4 μsec. The system is constructed as a full fan-out network, meaning there is a non-blocked RF path between each input and output RF port. It can handle an input power of 36 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 40 dB.
JFW’s full fan-out handover test systems are a type of matrix switch that are constructed with power divider/combiners on both halves of the matrix with programmable attenuators in between. There is an individually controlled programmable attenuator on every RF path through the matrix. This type of construction allows every input signal to be available simultaneously to every output port at differently attenuated signal levels.
The handover system can be remotely controlled via Ethernet and RS232. It also has manual control which provides a 20-button keypad along with an LCD display. The 50PA-841 is available in 19-inch rack-mountable chassis with SMA or N-type (female) connectors and is suitable for cellular test systems.
