The A25-MH229 from Akon is a Front-End Receiver with an output frequency from 0.5 to 18 GHz. It has two CW/Pulsed RF input ports (J1 and J2) and acts either as a downconverter or front-end amplifier depending on the input frequency. For input frequencies from 18 – 40 GHz (J2), it down-converts them to 1.5 – 14.0 GHz and provides a gain of 22 dB. For input frequencies from 0.5 to 18 GHz (J1), it acts as a front-end amplifier and provides a gain of 22 dB. This receiver features built-in LO’s for 18.0 - 40.0 GHz (for down-conversion) and built-in BITE signals for 0.5 - 18.0 GHz (1.0 GHz, 16.0 GHz) and 18.0 - 40.0 GHz (20.0, 28.0 and 36 GHz) block converter. It can handle a CW input power of 1 W (~30 dBm) and a pulsed input power of 100 W (~50 dBm). The receiver has spurious levels of -50 dBc and a 3rd-order harmonic of -26 dBc.
The A25-MH229 requires a DC supply of +28 V (±10%) and has an operating temperature range from -40° to +71°C. It is available in a module that measures 6.5 x 4.0 x 1.85 inches with K-type (2.9 mm) female connector for input, an ETNC-F type connector for output, and an RS-422 differential format cable for TTL control.
