The A55-MH036 from Akon is a 12-Bit Digital Frequency Discriminator (DFD) with an input frequency range from 2 to 6 GHz. It includes an input Band Pass Filter (BPF) to eliminate high-level out-of-band signals producing false output and limiting amplifiers with a small signal gain of 80 dB. The inbuilt BPF provides a rejection of 60 dB from DC to 1.7 GHz and a rejection of 30 dB from 6.9 to 18 GHz. This DPD has a sensitivity of -61 dBm, a dynamic range from -61 to + 5 dBm, and frequency accuracy of 1.5 MHz (RMS). It has a noise figure of 6 dB, harmonics of -20 dBc, and spurious levels of -50 dBc. The DPD requires a DC supply of ±9/+12V and consumes less than 2 A of current. It is available in a module that measures 8.0 x 5.9 x 1.3 inches with SMA-female connectors.
