The WaveCore 1000-RH from Airvine Scientific Inc. is an indoor microwave backhaul solution that operates in both the 2.4 GHz (for Wi-Fi) and 6 GHz (for backhaul) frequency bands. It is the world’s first wireless bridge capable of penetrating concrete and brick at gigabit speeds, using a high-performance front-end system that delivers multi-gigabit data rates through walls up to 12 inches thick or more. This backhaul link has two connections: a 6 GHz radio with a directional antenna for long-range communication and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio with an omnidirectional antenna for local access.
The WaveCore 1000-RH is designed to complement with a WaveTunnel system, these two products together enable wireless indoor backbones that can be deployed in any building or floorplan. It requires a DC supply of 12V or 48V (Power over Ethernet) and consumes less than 36W of power.
This wireless bridge is controlled via RJ45 and SFP+ ethernet interfaces. It is housed in an ABS/PC enclosure measuring 10.1 x 2.7 x 10.3 inches, with an optional aluminum heatsink for enhanced heat dissipation. This wireless backhaul solution is ideal for connecting fire control rooms, network equipment rooms, and building floors separated by thick concrete walls and other challenging obstacles.
