The UltraLink-GX80 from Intracom Telecom is a compact all-outdoor Ethernet/CPRI Radio that operates from 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz. With a high system gain, it achieves a throughput of up to 10 Gbps (full duplex) which makes the radio suited for use in demanding applications requiring ultra-high capacity. It has channel sizes of 125/250/500/750/1,000/1,500/2,000 MHz. The radio is capable of adaptive modulation from 4-QAM to 1024-QAM and uses a LDPC/Reed Solomon error correction coding.
Operating as an Ethernet bridge, the radio unit offers 1 x GbE electrical (RJ-45) and 3 x SFP/SFP+ interfaces that support a mix of 1/2.5/10 Gigabit Ethernet data rates over optical fiber. When operating in CPRI (Common Public Radio Interface) transport mode, three of the unit’s interfaces can be used for CPRI transport.
UltraLink-GX80 is designed to be easily mounted on poles, while its installation and provisioning features, such as “zero-touch” provisioning, enable convenience and speed of installation and maintenance. It measures 335 x 238 x 120 mm and has parabolic 30 cm/45 dBi and 60 cm/50 dBi antenna options. This radio is IP67 rated (protection against dust and water) and is ideally suited for use in for 4G/4G+/5G RAN macro cell backhaul and fronthaul applications, as well as transport applications in metro and aggregation networks as a fiber substitute.
The radio requires a DC supply of -48 V with support for Power of Ethernet (PoE) and typically consumes 85 W of power.
