The AireLink 60 10 Gig from LightPointe is a 60 GHz backhaul radio that delivers high-speed, low-latency, full-duplex wireless communications. It offers up to 10 Gbps of data throughput (20 Gbps total aggregated capacity) with a channel bandwidth from 100 MHz to 2 GHz. This “Wireless Fiber” solution is an excellent backup/failover solution for wired networks, and has a 38.5 dBi high gain antenna integrated into the design. This makes the system easy to install by businesses, video and security integrators, and 5G LTE telecom carriers. The transmission from one building or tower to another is precise and secure due to a narrow beam path of 1.9 degrees. The radio provides a range of up to 1.8 km (over 1 mile) consuming less than 35 watts of power. It operates in two modes: 2 x 1.25 Gbps Ethernet connectivity incorporating a fully integrated Ethernet switch (2.5 Gbps aggregate throughput), or 10 Gbps direct fiber-to-radio connectivity for maximum throughput and minimum latency. The backhaul is available in a compact enclosure that’s easy to deploy, and utilizes the license-free V-Band spectrum.
