The STRATUM SX5-2042A from Proxim is a Point-to-Point Wireless Radio that operates from 5.925 to 6.425 GHz. This radio enables point-to-point connectivity with a high throughput, making it suitable for high-capacity backhaul applications. It is equipped with a quad-polarity panel antenna and supports 4x4:4 MIMO, which uses a channel bandwidth of 20 MHz to double the throughput compared to 2x2:2 MIMO point-to-point systems. This radio has channel bandwidths of 20/40/80/160 MHz (80 + 80 MHz via future upgrade) and delivers a data rate of more than 1.5 Gbps.
The Stratum SX5-2042A includes Proxim ClearConnect technology, which combines multiple dynamic technologies and delivers the best interference management solution. This backhaul radio also consists of Proxim BlueConnect, a Bluetooth-enabled mobile management application, TLS 1.3 web GUI, SSH 2.0 CLI, and SNMP for network management. It uses AES-128 encryption to protect data streams and allows upgradeability to AES-256 to enhance security. This radio can be controlled via RJ45 Ethernet interfaces and has an SFP+ port for fiber or Copper 10 Gbps SFP module.
This wireless radio delivers an output power of up to 24 dBm (dual-chain) and 27 dBm (quad-chain) and has a receive sensitivity of -95 dBm. It consumes less than 25 W of power. This wireless radio is available in an IP67-rated metal enclosure that measures 371 x 371 x 97 mm.
