The SSPA 0.020-6.000-10 from Aethercomm is a GaN broadband amplifier that operates from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. This broadband amplifier can be used for both military and commercial applications. It provides a small signal gain of over 40 dB and a saturated output power of more than 37.8 dBm with a VSWR of 2.0:1. The amplifier required a 28 V supply and draws 1.17 Amps of current.
This SSPA includes an external DC blanking command that enables and disables the module in under 20.0 uSec. Typical on/off timing values are 10uSec. The output is fully protected from an open or short circuit at the port to avoid damage to the amplifier. It is available in a module that measures 2.5 x 6.4 x 1 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for broad band jamming and communication system platforms. This amplifier operates from -40C to +85C base plate temperature.
