The ARF1206L5 from Altum RF is an E-Band Low-Noise Amplifier that operates from 71 to 86 GHz. It delivers a gain of 18 dB and has a noise figure of less than 5 dB. This amplifier has two stages which are controlled by a single gate bias connection and a separate gate voltage to control the output stage. These voltages can be used to control the amplifier gain, to turn it off, or to connect to 0 V for full gain operation.
The ARF1206L5 is pre-matched to 50 ohms, ESD protected and housed in a laminate package to simplify handling and assembly. It requires a DC supply of 4 V and consumes 48 mA of current. It is available in an RoHS-compliant QFN laminate package that measures 5 x 5 mm. This LNA is ideal for demanding telecommunication, automotive, ISM, test & measurement, and sensing applications.
