The AM02018038MD-3H from AMCOM Communications is a GaN Power Amplifier Module that operates from 2 to 18 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 38.5 dBm (~7 W) with a small signal gain of 30 dB. This GaN power amplifier requires a DC supply from 32 to 36 V and consumes 1.9 A of current. It can be turned ON/OFF with TTL control logic and has built-in temperature monitoring capabilities with thermal shutdown at greater than 95 Degrees C.
The amplifier is available in a module that measures 2.20 x 2.20 x 0.65 inches with integrated four screw slots for mounting to a heatsink. It is ideal for software radio, broadband communications, instrumentation, measurements and military and aerospace applications.
