The 250U1000A from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a solid-state, self-contained, air-cooled, Broadband Amplifier System that operates from 10 kHz to 1000 MHz. This amplifier, when used with a sweep generator, provides over 250 W of RF power with a gain of over 54 dB. It is protected from RF input overdrive by an RF input leveling circuit which controls the RF input level to the RF amplifier first stage when the RF input level is increased above 0 dBm. The RF amplifier stages are protected from over-temperature by removing the DC voltage to them if an over-temperature condition occurs due to cooling blockage or fan failure. It is equipped with a digital control panel (DCP) which provides both local and remote control of the amplifier.
All amplifier control functions and status indications can also be viewed/controlled remotely using the GPIB/IEEE-488 format, RS-232, fiber optics, USB, and Ethernet. This CE and RoHS-compliant amplifier system is available in a benchtop cabinet that measures 19.8 x 11.2 x 29.5 inches with N-type female connectors. It has been designed for applications where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required.
