The 30S1G6C from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 1 to 6 GHz. It delivers a CW output power of more than 30 W with a small signal gain from 46 to 50 dB. This Class-A SSPA provides protection from input overdrive beyond 0 dBm as well as protection from various failure conditions including over-temperature and power supply faults. It has spurious emissions of -73 dBc and harmonic distortion of -30 dBc (@30 W). The low level of spurious signals and linearity make it ideal for use as a driver in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems.
The Model 30S1G6C has a front panel display that indicates the operational status and fault conditions. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely using GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, fiber-optic serial, USB, or Ethernet. It is available in a 19-inch rack that measures 20.1 x 6.7 x 25.7 inches with N-type (female) connectors and requires an AC supply from 100 to 240 V. This SSPA is ideal for use in 5G testing applications and is also suitable for EMC test applications (military, aviation, automotive, commercial) where continued operation into high VSWR loads including open and short circuits is required.
The export classification for this amplifier is EAR99.
