The HPA11201721QF from ReliaSat is a Power Amplifier MMIC that operates in the K-band from 17 to 20.5 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 10 W with a large signal gain of 20 dB and has a PAE of 25%. This amplifier is fabricated on a space-qualified 0.25 µm GaN-on-SiC process and is integrated with DC blocking capacitors on RF ports. It requires a DC supply from 20 to 30 V and consumes 300 mA of current. The amplifier is available in a hermetically-sealed surface-mount ceramic package that measures 7 x 7 mm. It incorporates an output power detector to assist with system integration and is well suited for satellite communications and point-to-point applications.
