The BVA1761 from BeRex is a Digitally Controlled Variable Gain Amplifier (DVGA) that operates from 50 MHz to 6 GHz. It integrates a high-performance digital step attenuator (DSA) and a high linearity, broadband gain block amplifier (AMP) with a switching time of less than 800 ns. The gain block provides 17 dB of gain with a noise figure of 2.8 dB. The 7-bit digital step attenuator has an attenuation range from 0 to 31.75 dB and a step size of 0.25 dB. It also has a 3-bit addressable function to share up to 8 DSA's Latch Enable (LE), DATA, and CLOCK(CLK) pins. This reduces the number of IO pins when using multiple DSA or DVGA chips with addressable functions.
The BVA1761 requires a DC supply of 3.3/5 V and consumes less than 100 mA of current. It is available in a 24-pin QFN package that measures 4.0 x 4.0 x 0.9 mm and is ideal for 5G/4G/3G wireless infrastructure and other high-performance RF applications, microwave and satellite radio, and general-purpose wireless applications.
