The MPKOG141100M from Communications & Power Industries is a GaN SSPA System that operates from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz. It delivers an output power of up to 1100 W with a gain of 60 dB and provides a digital gain adjustment of above 20 dB in 0.1 dB steps. The amplifier has a plug-and-play and hot-swappable design. It offers modular units for fans, logic board, parallel I/O board and front panel touch screen with self-redundant configurations. The amplifier can perform group delay for linear/parabolic/ripple inputs and AM/PM conversion of 1.0 deg/dB at rated linear power (>540 W).
The MPKOG141100M has a recorded mean time to repair (MTTR) of less than 3 minutes for field-serviceable components. It has an automated power saving mechanism and link recovery software. This amplifier system offers local as well as a remote control with full secure-access using a standard network and RS-232/-422/-485 interfaces.
The MPKOG141100M has LED status indicators and a software that monitors the temperature, voltage and current performance. It also auto-corrects changes associated with long-term component operation and thereby enhances performance with varying logging parameters. The SSPA is available in a rack-mount enclosure that measures 19.0 x 27.97 x 29.37 inches with blind-mate connectors and has a forced-air cooling system. It is designed for critical link applications in broadcast networks, telecommunication systems and teleports.
The SSPA requires an AC supply voltage of 180-264 V at 47-63 Hz and consumes under 11 kVA of power. It can also be powered by up to eight 48 V DC supply modules in N+1 parallel redundancy.
