The VSC3645 from CPI is a GaN solid-state power amplifier module that operates from 5.2 to 5.9 GHz in the C-band. It provides a saturated peak output power of 4.2 kW by combining four 1.1 kW pulsed modules. These air-cooled modules can be power-combined using waveguide combiners for high power levels required for various radar applications. The amplifier requires a supply voltage of 52 VDC and consumes up to 45 A of current. It is available in a rack mount module that measures 9 x 15.5 x 21 inches with SMA jack connectors. The amplifier is ideal for weather radar, maritime and defense radar applications.
