The dB-4051 from dB Control is a K/Ka-Band TWT Amplifier that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It delivers an output power of 50 to 60 W with a gain of over 48 dB and a gain flatness of ±3 dB. This amplifier is a periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused, conduction-cooled TWT amplifier that can amplify CW, AM, FM, or pulse-modulated signals. It has an embedded microcontroller that provides interface, control & protection functions, extensive fault diagnostics, and status indication. This amplifier has helix over-current, cathode over-voltage, high reflected RF power, and over-temperature protection features.
The dB-4051 has a noise power density of less than -15 dBm/MHz and a VSWR of less than 2.50:1. It has a harmonic output of less than -5 dBc and spurious levels of less than -50 dBc. This amplifier requires an AC supply of 220 V and consumes less than 600 W of power. It can be controlled via an Ethernet interface. This amplifier is available in a 19-inch rack mount package that measures 24.5 x 7 inches and has a Type K female connector for input & WRD-18 waveguide for output. It is ideal for ECM transmitters, electronic warfare (EW) simulation, test & measurement, RFI susceptibility testing, EMC tests, RF components testing, antenna pattern, and radar cross-section measurement applications.
