The ENGAD00017 from Engin IC is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 2 to 18 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 5 W with a small signal gain of 40 dB and a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 15%. This amplifier is built using GaN MMIC technology delivering high efficiency over the operating frequency range. It also supports an optional cooling fan and heat sink attachments for controlled temperature of the SSPA at ambient temperatures. This SSPA requires a single DC supply of +28 V. It is available in a module that measures 2.90 x 2.14 x 0.45 inches with SMA connectors and is ideal for test and measurement, electronic warfare circuits, military and commercial SATCOM, transmit circuits, and telecom infrastructure applications.
