The AMP1146 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a solid state power amplifier that operates from 2 to 8 GHz. This class AB linear GaN amplifier delivers a gain of more than 47 dB with an output power of 50 watts. The amplifier requires a supply voltage of 32 V DC and consumes up to 12 A of current. It is available in a rugged module that measures 200 x 110 x 25 mm with SMA female connectors. This SSPA is suitable for all modulation standards, has built-in protection circuits and an instantaneous wide bandwidth.
