The Cerus 32 (W) from Filtronic is a Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 92 to 114 GHz (W-Band). It delivers a saturated output power of more than +40 dBm and a gain of more than 10 dB. This SSPA has a 32-way configuration and incorporates Filtronic’s MMIC technology to deliver high-output power and linearity. It has a bandwidth of 12 GHz and supports 256 QAM modulation. This amplifier has an integrated temperature sensor that provides accurate amplifier temperature data and an optional control circuitry that facilitates functions including gain control, mute control, and alarms. It is available in a compact module that measures 149 x 149 x 80 mm and is ideal for point-to-point, telecom, SATCOM, defense (airborne & HAPS) and test equipment applications.
