The TMC215 from mmTron is a Linear Power Amplifier that operates from 27 to 31 GHz. It provides a small signal gain of 23 dB with a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 24% and has an output P1dB of 46.5 dBm (45 W). This three-stage amplifier is based on a GaN HEMT process and has on-chip DC blocking capacitors at input and output. It requires a DC supply of 28 V and consumes 2 A of current. This amplifier is available as a die that measures 5.0 x 4.0 x 0.1 mm with built-in ESD protection and is ideal for SATCOM uplink, 5G infrastructure and instrumentation applications. The bond pad and backside metallization are Au-based, ensuring compatibility with standard wire bonding and die-attach methods.
