The GRF3016 from Guerrilla RF is a Broadband Gain Block that operates from DC to 10 GHz. This device provides a P1dB of 17 dBm with a gain of 13.5 dB and a noise figure of 5.2 dB while operating at 5 GHz. The resistively biased device uses an external resistor in series with VCC to set a nominal current of 80 mA. It can be operated down to a very low frequency by the selection of suitably large input/output caps and a bias inductor.
The GRF3016 is available in a 1.5 x 1.5 mm surface-mount package and is ideal for microwave backhauls, C and X-band amplifiers, general-purpose amplifiers, and instrumentation applications.
