The HL5867 from Hyperlabs is a Linear Amplifier that operates from 35 kHz to 30 GHz. The amplifier is thermally compensated between 0° to +60° C to reduce variations in output performance and amplitude. It provides a small signal gain of more than 13 dB, has a P1dB of 12.5 dBm and a noise figure of 5 dB. The amplifier has an amplitude deviation of ± 2.5% and a deviation from the linear phase of less than ± 2.5°. It requires a DC supply of + 7 V/- 8 V and consumes 110/40 mA of current respectively.
This RoHS-compliant amplifier is available in a module that measures 55.9 x 33.7 x 10.2 mm with 2.92 mm/2.42 mm jack Female connectors. This model is available with two options optimized for RF or data applications. Option -GD offers an ultra-linear phase response for use in RF systems where amplification is needed without significant phase distortion. The -DD option is optimized as a data driver to amplify signals with a minimum amount of eye distortion. It is ideal for use as a linear gain block in applications such as fiber optic receiver channels or PAM4 signaling up to 32 Gbps.
