The AKA-1400PSM from Marki Microwave is an RF Gain Block Amplifier that operates from DC to 14 GHz. It provides a small signal gain of up to 17 dB with a noise figure of less than 5 dB and has an output P1dB of 15 dBm. [RP1] This cascadable amplifier uses an InGaP HBT process and requires minimal external components, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. It requires a DC supply of 3.8 V and consumes less than 60 mA of current. The amplifier is available in a surface-mount DFN package that measures 1.3 x 2.0 mm and is ideal for mobile test and measurement equipment, radar, SATCOM, driver amplifier, and 5G transceiver applications.
