The ALH504 from Northrup Grumman is a balanced, three-stage, low noise HEMT amplifier that operates from 82 to 102 GHz. The amplifier provides a gain of over 18 dB and a noise figure below 5 dB. The small size of the die make it easy to fit in to a compact package and can be used for a wide range of high frequency applications like Millimeter-Wave Imaging, commercial digital microwave radios and wireless LANs. To ensure rugged and reliable operation, HEMT devices are fully passivated. Both bond pad and backside metallization are Ti/Au, which is compatible with conventional die attach, thermocompression and thermosonic wire bonding assembly techniques.
