The POL500Ka-P from Polarity is an RF Amplifier that operates from 32 to 36 GHz. It delivers a pulsed output power of 500 W (TWT) with an adjustable gain of 60 dB. The can detect faults in less than 1 µs and has built-in protection circuits such as an output arc detector, input/output isolator, and reverse power detector. It has spurious levels of -70 dBc, a phase noise of -95 dBc/Hz @100 Hz offset, and a phase droop of less than 2.5°/µs. This amplifier requires a DC supply from 80 to 120 V and consumes 600 VA of power with a power factor of 0.95. It is ideal for demanding performance in next-generation Ka-band radar systems and meets international standards for safety and EMI/EMC.
The POL500Ka-P supports RS232/422/485, ethernet, and advanced user-friendly communication protocols to provide data logging for cost-effective maintenance and troubleshooting. It is available in a liquid/conduction-cooled module that measures 10.5 x 7.0 x 3.0 inches with a 2.92 mm/K-type input connector and a WR-28 flange waveguide output interface. The amplifier is suitable for airborne, shipboard, and ground mobile microwave power systems applications.
