The QBP 21014750 from Quinstar Technologies is a K-band GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 20.2 to 21.2 GHz. It provides a gain of 50 dB with a P1dB of over 47 dBm across the band with a base temperature of 50°C. The PA requires a supply of 28 V while consuming up to 14.2 A of current. It is available in a module that measures 12.36 x 8.57 x 3.72 inches (excluding DC connector) and is ideal for airborne applications. It has inbuilt DC regulators that shut down the unit if the SSPA temperature exceeds 55°C. The standard amplifier package does not include a cold plate and chiller, so cooling is required.
