The TW141 from Tallysman Wireless is an In-Line Amplifier that operates from 1200 to 1800 MHz. It provides 42 dB of gain with a noise figure of less than 2 dB and a P1dB of 7 dBm. The amplifier provides for much longer cable runs from the antenna to receiver without degradation of system sensitivity, for applications such as mast-mount, large vehicle, and timing systems. It passes DC directly from input to output to support centre conductor DC supply to the antenna and avoids the need for an additional bias source or bias “T”. The amplifier requires a DC supply from 3.3 to 10 V and draws less than 25 mA of current.
The TW141 is available in an IP67-rated weatherproof cylindrical nickel-plated brass enclosed module that measures 59 mm (L) x 20 mm (Dia.) with SMA and TNC female connectors. It is rugged and waterproof which makes it suitable for commercial and military L-band satellite systems, wireless telecom & cellular base station timing applications, GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo), SBAS, and telematics systems, and commercial and industrial timing and synchronization applications.
