The TTI-X-CLNA-0808 from TTI is a Cryogenic Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) that operates from 8.4 to 8.5 GHz. It provides a gain of 40 dB with a noise temperature of less than 3 K (at 12 K). This LNA can withstand extremely low temperatures ranging from 4 to 15 K and is developed using a combination of Indium Phosphide (InP) and Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) technologies to deliver excellent noise temperature performance. It requires a DC supply of +/- 3 V (gate) and 0 to 3.5 V (drain), consuming less than 65 mW of power.
The amplifier is available in a module that measures 48 x 48 x 77 mm and has SMA connectors (male/female) for output and sample, along with a WR112 (UBR84) waveguide interface on the input side. It is ideal for radio astronomy and quantum computing applications.
