The USMC18400 from US Microwave Laboratories is a Low Noise Amplifier that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It provides a gain of 35 dB with a noise figure of less than 5 dB and a P1dB of more than 10 dBm. The amplifier is ideal for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and certification and offers exceptional performance at a very competitive price. The low noise figure and high gain of this amplifier permit the visualization of signals that would otherwise appear below the noise floor in a radiated emissions test. It can handle an input power of 10 dBm and offers reverse polarity protection.

The USMC18400 requires a DC supply of 11 to 19 V and draws less than 690 mA of current. It also has an optional built-in battery and smart charger. The amplifier is available in a IP60-rated case that measures 171.0 x 108.0 x 58.6 mm with 2.92 mm-female (K-type) connector. The amplifier conforms to the European RoHS requirements.
