The TMC813D from mmTron is an Low Loss Balun MMIC that operates from 27 to 100 GHz. This balun converts balanced signals to unbalanced signals with an impedance ratio of 1:2. It has an insertion loss of 3.5 dB and provides a common-mode rejection ratio of 30 dB. This moisture-protected balun has an amplitude balance of 0.8 dB and a phase balance of 1.9°. It ensures maximum repeatability with low insertion loss, low amplitude unbalance, low phase unbalance, and excellent common mode rejection.
The TMC813D has Au-based bond pad and backside metallization, and is also compatible with ribbon and wedge bonding, high conductivity epoxy, and eutectic die attach methods. This RoHS-compliant balun is available as a die that measures 0.790 x 2.170 x 0.100 mm and is ideal for instrumentation, 5G wireless communications, SATCOM, EW, radar, WiMAX, and WLAN applications.
