The PE45450 is a power limiter used in high performance limiting applications like test and measurement equipment, radar, military electronic counter measure receivers and wireless infrastructure transceivers and antennas. The limiter operates from 9 kHz to 6 GHz and can handle up to 40 dBm (10 W) of CW power and 47 dBm (50 W) of pulsed power. Unlike traditional PIN diode solutions, this limiter has an adjustable power limiting threshold that eliminates the need for external components like DC blocking capacitors, RF choke inductors and bias resistors. The PE45450 is available in a compact 12 lead 3 x 3 mm QFN package with ESD protection for subsequent circuitry.
