The ASL7002 from Aelius Semiconductors is a Double Balanced Mixer with an RF/LO frequency from 6 to 18 GHz and IF Frequency from DC to 4 GHz. The mixer has a low conversion loss of 8 dB, LO to RF isolation of 30 dB, and can handle an input power of up to 17 dBm. It does not need a DC Bias or external off-chip components and requires a minimum LO drive of +13 dBm for operation. The mixer is available as a die which is fabricated using a mature 0.15 μm InGaAs Phemt technology and measures 3 x 2.4 x 0.100 mm. It is ideal for Microwave & MMW radios, Military spade & test equipment, Radar, VSAT, and Communication & EW applications. This mixer can be used for both down and upconversion applications and has integrated on-chip baluns.
