The MX12000 from DS Instruments is a Benchtop Microwave Mixer with an RF Frequency range from 5 to 14 GHz and IF Frequency from 5 to 6000 MHz. It has an integrated programmable local oscillator from 5.5 to 13 GHz and is ideal as an upconverter or downconverter by eliminating the need for extra cabling and a separate high-frequency signal source. This mixer includes an ultra-low noise internal oven-controlled reference source to ensure low-phase noise. It has a conversion loss of less than 10 dB, an LO phase noise of -95 dBc (at 10 kHz offset, 12 GHz frequency) and an LO leakage of better than -30 dB.
The MX12000 allows the LO frequency to be set using front controls or the provided Windows PC application via the USB port. This USB-powered mixer features a bright and efficient OLED display with a simple and effective control interface. It is available in a module that measures 2.75 x 4.1 x 1.14 inches with ultra-premium gold SMA connectors.
