The MX26500 from DS Instruments is a K-Band Benchtop Double-Balanced Mixer with an integrated programmable local oscillator. The mixer has an RF frequency range from 14 to 30 GHz, IF frequency range from 1 MHz to 8 GHz a controllable LO with a frequency range from 18 to 27 GHz.The LO frequency can be set for the mixer from the front panel controls, USB commands, or the provided windows PC application.
The mixer has a conversion loss of 9 to 12 dB, an LO to RF isolation of 45 dB, and an LO to IF isolation of 35 dB. It can handle up to 17 dBm of input power and can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The mixer is available in a compact, rugged aluminium benchtop enclosure that measures 104 x 70 x 29 mm and is ideal for lab applications, receiver development, VSAT, electronic countermeasure, satellite uplink/ downlink testing, radar systems, electronic warfare, and space applications.
