The MX30000 from DS Instruments is a benchtop double-balanced mixer with an integrated programmable LO buffer. The mixer has an RF frequency range of 15 to 30 GHz, IF frequency range of 1 MHz to 8 GHz and an LO range from 18 to 30 GHz. It has a conversion loss of 9 to 12 dB, a LO to RF isolation of 45 dB, and a LO to IF isolation of 35 dB. The mixer can handle up to 17 dBm of input power and can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The mixer is available in a compact, rugged aluminum enclosure that measures 104 x 70 x 29 mm and is ideal for lab applications, receiver development, VSAT, electronic countermeasure, satellite uplink/ downlink testing, radar systems, electronic warfare, and space applications. The LO frequency can be set for the mixer from the front panel controls, USB commands, or the provided windows PC application.
