CMD303 Image

The CMD303 from Qorvo is a GaAs Sub-Harmonic Mixer Die with an RF/LO frequency from 13 to 21 GHz and IF Frequency from DC to 3 GHz. The mixer has an integrated LO amplifier and can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The device has a low conversion loss of 8.5 dB and excellent LO to RF Isolation of 28 dB eliminating the need for additional filtering.

Sub-harmonic mixers are driven by a local oscillator (LO) signal that is an integer fraction, or sub-harmonic, of the desired LO frequency. This mixer operates with an x2 LO, meaning the user needs to provide the mixer with an LO at half the desired mixing frequency. The CMD303 requires as low as 0 dBm LO drive and operates on a single positive supply voltage.
