The ADRF5473 from Analog Devices is a 6-Bit Silicon Digital Attenuator that operates from 100 MHz to 40 GHz. It provides adjustable attenuation from 0 to 31.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps and has an insertion loss of less than 3.2 dB. This attenuator can handle an average input power of 26 dBm and peak input power of 31 dBm. It has a rise/fall time of 35 ns and ON/OFF time 125 ns. The attenuator requires dual-supply voltage of +3.3 / −3.3 V and draws ±117 µA of input current. It features serial peripheral interface (SPI), parallel mode control, and complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-/low voltage transistor to transistor logic (LVTTL)-compatible controls.
The ADRF5473 is available in an 18-pad die-on-carrier chip that measures 3.171 x 1.616 mm and is ideal for use in test and instrumentation, cellular infrastructure: 5G millimeter wave, military radios, radars, and electronic counter measures (ECMs), microwave radios, and very small aperture terminals (VSATs) applications.
