The CMD285C3 is a GaAs MMIC absorptive Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA) that operates from DC to 20 GHz. The VVA uses two analog control voltages varied between -5V and 0V to control the RF signal levels over an attenuation range of 35 dB. It has a low insertion loss of 3.2 dB at 10 GHz and is matched to 50 ohms, eliminating the need for RF port matching. The CMD285C3 is available in a 3 x 3 mm leadless surface mount package and is ideally suited for military, space and communications systems.
