The CMD325 from Qorvo is a 6-Bit Digital GaAs MMIC Attenuator Die that operates from DC to 30 GHz. It has an attenuation range of up to 31.5 dB with 0.5 dB steps (1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 dB step size available) and a typical switching speed of 25 ns. The attenuator can handle up to 27 dBm of input power and has an insertion loss of less than 6.7 dB. Each bit of the attenuator is controlled by a single voltage of either 0 V or –5 V.
This 50-ohm attenuator eliminates the need for RF port matching and offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection. This RoHS-compliant die is ideal for electronic warfare (EW), radar, space, satellite communications (SATCOM), test & measurement, and phased arrays applications.
