The SKY12232-21 from Skyworks is a voltage-controlled variable attenuator that operates from the 2.65 GHz to 3.65 GHz. It provides monotonic attenuation performance with an attenuation range up to 24 dB and has a high IIP3 of 55 dBm. The attenuator requires a supply of 0 to 5 V and a 1.7 mA typical control current. It is available in small 6-pin MCM package that measures 4.9 x 3.2 mm. It has been designed to meet the wide dynamic range requirements of cellular transceivers and point to point radio IF chains.
